The rescue

Jon Taffer relaunched Havana Haven Lounge as Bimini Bay Island Bar & Grille.

Bimini Bay Island Bar & Grille closed in October 2025, about four months after filming and before its episode aired. The bar had traded under the new name and was advertising for staff only weeks before it closed.

What happened next

Taffer's visit was filmed in mid-2025, and the bar traded under its new name, Bimini Bay Island Bar & Grille, after the rescue, running regular events including karaoke on Thursdays and comedy showcase nights. In early October 2025, the bar was advertising for bartenders and servers. Weeks later, still in October 2025, it closed for good — about four months after the visit and seven months before the episode aired in May 2026. The closure was never announced: the bar simply stopped updating its profiles, and it is marked permanently closed on Google. The few post-rescue reviews were mixed; across its whole history under both names, the bar held a 4.2-star rating from 89 Google reviews.
