The rescue
Jon Taffer relaunched MT Bottle as MT Bottles and Cans.
MT Bottle, relaunched as Bottles and Cans and later trading as MT Bottles and Cans, closed in December 2019 and was sold for about $325,000. Owner Tracy Bigford died in April 2019, and the bar had lost its liquor license by the time of the 2016 revisit.
What happened next
After the rebrand to Bottles and Cans, the bar traded well. The liquor license Jon Taffer helped secure allowed owners Tracy and Gina Bigford to earn more and return to profitability, and producers reported the bar was on track to take $30,000 in a single month. By the 2016 Back to the Bar revisit, the name had become MT Bottles and Cans and most of Taffer's changes remained in place, but the bar had lost its liquor license, which Taffer called a disaster. Tracy Bigford died in April 2019, and the bar closed in December 2019. It was then sold for about $325,000, primarily for its real estate.
