What happened next
Six weeks after the rescue, sales at Stein Haus Brau and Brats were up 15%. Owners Ivan and Sami were working well together, and Ivan remained in the kitchen, having discovered a passion for cooking. The improvement was short-lived. Stein Haus closed in December 2015, about nine months after the episode aired and a little over a year after Taffer's visit. The owners gave no reason for the closure, simply stopping social media posts and marking the bar closed. The building then stood vacant for years.
