The rescue

What happened next
The R. Lee's name lasted only briefly: shortly after Taffer left, owners Ryan and Nita changed the name back to Schafer's Bar & Grill. The couple declined the show's follow-up calls, so no post-rescue sales figures were reported. They were publicly critical of the experience, claiming that some dialogue and events were staged and that producers had removed bottles from the bar, which was why bartender Lindsey had been unable to make drinks during the initial recon. The bar was later remodelled and traded as Scorpion Lounge & Steakhouse, a change made before July 2019. Schafer's closed in November 2019.
